Camping lists

These lists are what you should have in your bag when you go camping. You are free to bring more clothes if you would like and any of the optional things you would like to take. 

Weekend Camping list

  • Uniform, with belt   --- Wear en route

  • T-shirts or long-sleeved shirts   --- 3 (your choice, weather dependent)

  • Long pants (jeans, sweats)   --- 2

  • Shorts   --- (Weather dependent)

  • Socks   --- 3 pair

  • Underwear   --- 2

  • Sweater or sweatshirt

  • Warm jacket or parka   --- (Weather dependent)

  • Hat and gloves   --- (Weather dependent)

  • Long Underwear   --- (Weather dependent)

  • Extra pair of shoes

  • Knife, fork, spoon   --- Pack on top

  • Drinking cup   --- 12 oz max

  • Sleeping bag   --- Rolled tight

  • Air mattress or sleeping pad

  • Washcloth, bath towel

  • Toothbrush, toothpaste

  • Wallet and spending money   --- Mark with name and troop number

  • Small laundry bag

  • Raincoat or poncho   --- Pack on top

  • Folding pocket knife

  • Flashlight with extra batteries

  • Mosquito repellent

  • Sunscreen

  • Wristwatch

  • Notebook and pen

  • Scout Handbook

  • Plastic trash bag for wet clothes

Summer Camp list

  • Complete Summer Uniform   --- 1 Wear en route

  • Shower Shoes

  • Raincoat or poncho (good quality)

  • Flashlight with extra batteries, bulb

  • Mosquito repellent   --- 2-3 cans

  • Sunscreen   --- 2-3 cans

  • Merit badge books

  • Lunch, for the drive to camp
