WHAT: The Retriever, a 52' ketch, is an offshore sailing program where youth will learn the fundamentals of sailboat handling, steering, navigation, marine safety, and various cruising techniques. Based out of its home port in Mackinaw City, MI The Retriever will embark on
excursions to various destinations in the northern Great Lakes.
WHEN: Saturday, June 18, 2015 to Saturday, June 25, 2016.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE: All Scouts presently in high school are eligible to attend. You must be able to pass the BSA swimmer's test. The crew is limited to 12 people, including adult leaders. We an-
ticpate 3 leaders and 9 scouts. There will be a waiting list if we get more than 12 people signed up.
COST: Cost for the trip will be $750, which includes all outfitting, transportation, lodging, and meals on board. You will need additional money for meals to and from Mackinaw City as well as snacks and souvenirs.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE: A $250.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit will be due as soon as possible, but no later than November 18, 2015, A second payment of $250.00 will be due January 13, 2016; and the balance of $250.00 will be due on April13, 2016.
